We are located less than 5 min drive to Paradise Boat rental, you are welcome to park rental boat or bring your own and park overnight at our dock. Julie + Alex ________________________________________________________________ ABOUT HOST: We are a young family and happy parents of two wonderful girls (8y + 3y) and three very well behaved and goofy rescue hounds. We love traveling, entertaining guests and very passionate about healthy lifestyle. Recently we fell in love with life at the lake and would like to share this great experience with others. We are new to being AirBnB hosts and are constantly working on improving our charming house between guest stays and busy life with toddler and newborn baby - one step at a time (because we are human, although having superpowers would be very cool), but always trying to move forward, always passionate about what we do, and always working hard to earn your smiles and great feedback after each stay. Unfortunately in the world of Airbnb, a 5-star rating means 'Good', but a 4-star rating means 'Bad'. ABOUT THE PROPERTY: You will have full access to the three bedroom home with electronic keyless code to access. Unfinished basement is not accessible at this time; Garage is locked off for owners storage (there are certain things we just can’t store in the basement). Parking is in front of the driveway. There is a private dining patio and back deck with swimming pool; as well as a separate fire pit area. House is located on a quiet 1.5 acre property, there is only one neighbor that might be visible from afar distance through the greenery by the pool side, but we will be working on blocking off that small gap with continued fence very shortly. Other than that property is very private. Our home is perfect for families and those looking to get away to recharge. GENERAL HOUSE RULES: - Additional guests need to be registered. - Registered guests are welcome to use the pool. - No large loud parties please. - This is a smoke free property (one of our children has asthma). No smoking allowed inside or outdoor dining/pool area. Owners only allow smoking at the fire pit area. - Since tiny hands touch our floors, please keep your outdoor shoes by the entry doors. If you are walking barefoot outside, please be mindful and don't bring any dirt inside the house. - We kindly ask that you'd be respectful of our home and treat it as if it were yours. Please take care to not stain furniture or linens. - Respect our towels and sheets; please don't eat or drink in bedrooms. - If you use outdoor TV, please cover it after each use. - Please report damages immediately, guest agrees to pay damages. IMPORTANT HOUSEHOLD INFO: - Pest control is scheduled every month (and sometimes we may do additional treatment same month depending on amount of insects/time of the year, but overall safety for everyone is key when considering frequency of services scheduled). Property is located in heavily wooded area, hence A LOT of bugs. While we are committed to monthly pest control and trying our best to make sure bugs don't bother our guests, SAFETY for everyone from all the chemicals is also very important to us. Usually 5 days after property is treated professionally there is a sudden increase of insects before effects take place. This is normal and unavoidable. While we are seriously committed to Enhanced Cleaning protocols, try our best to leave space spotless after each guest and make sure no insects sneak inside, you may see a spider (or other insect) inside the house on occasion. Yes, this is definitely not as exciting as seeing deer or other visitors by the house. Thank you for understanding! -Fire Pit area is also treated regularly to prevent mosquito invasion. We want you to enjoy the outdoor spaces. - All our bedding is breathable 100% cotton; new mattresses were selected to be medium firmness ( not very soft, nor extra firm). We use hypoallergenic ECOS eco-friendly laundry detergent and fabric softener + a small amount of bleach for safety purposes. - You are more than welcome to bring and use your own bedding if you desire so or need anything special. Some guests chose to bring their own bedding, please let us know ahead of time in case you desire to do so and we will prep the rooms accordingly. - Our heavy duty twin sized bunk bed is not just for kids and can be used by adults according to manufacturer. Limit one adult per bed please. -Air mattress is available upon request. Please let us know if you will be needing it as we store it in owners private storage that is not typically accessible to guests. - We do have infant crib and couple of playpens with mattresses and sheets inside kids bedroom closet if needed. -Infant bedding and mattress is 100% organic cotton. Approx. size of crib is 39.5 x 26.5 x 38.5. - We do have one baby high chair with straps if needed. - We have two kayaks available for guests to use located at the dock. *** Communication is key, please reach out. We are not mind readers or can forecast every persons desires and expectations. We try to provide 100% accurate information prior to your visit, but please reach out with any questions at all. We are always happy to help or resolve an issue to earn your positive feedback in the end, there is nothing small or silly – please ask away! While we try our very best to provide outstanding high quality accommodations to our guests, we are not a hotel and will not tolerate rude or inconsiderate behavior towards our family. If you expect high end luxury accommodations, please consider booking elsewhere. As a host we have a right to provide feedback to our guests based on how our property is left afterwards. *** FOR PET OWNERS: - No cats are allowed (even though we love all animals, but had some incidents in the past). - We are dog friendly pending approval. Please reach out first with info regarding your pet. This is to avoid any surprises. - There will be 150$ fine fee assessed for any additional pet that has NOT been confirmed prior to booking. - Dogs need to stay off the couch and beds. - NO WET DOGS inside the house. We do have labeled dog towels in laundry room if you need to wipe/dry your pet after rain or lake swim. - NO PETS INSIDE THE POOL. - Property is NOT fenced. DOCK ACCESS: Trail behind the pool leads to the boat dock, it is a short 5 minute walk. (Disclaimer: Our house is NOT located right by the lake). Dock has two kayaks available for guests to use: red and pink. Fyi, trail can get a bit muddy after very heavy rain, so might have to jump over a few puddles; but overall it is a short walk, you might see some beautiful butterflies or turtles, beaver, or even deer on the way. CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS: - Please take out all trash upon checkout. - Please remove all used bedding and place it in the laundry room upon checkout. - Please start the dishwasher upon checkout. TRASH COLLECTION DAY: -Every week Tuesday morning. If you happen to be staying during this time, we kindly ask you to roll containers to beginning of the driveway the night before (Monday). SECURITY CAMERA DISCLOSURE: -Property is under surveillance of exterior security camera by garage, the main purpose being for the protection and security of its occupants.
